We have an exciting opportunity to work at Box Hill Institute as our Casual Lecturer – Audio Production. This is a casual opportunity based at our Nelson (Box Hill) Campus. This position reports directly to the Academic Course Manager (Music Production Audio and Composition, and sits within the Music & Creative Industries area of the Faculty of Higher Education.

* Provide high quality and innovative course materials and excellent teaching delivery to students.
* Support student success in their courses and thereby improve their employment and/or educational pathways.
* Ensure BHI compliance requirements are met, and quality education is delivered to students

Qualifications and experience:
General
* Teaching experiences preferred and a passion for sharing knowledge and experience is essential
* Ability to adapt to the changing needs of the faculty.
* Relevant industry qualifications or experience and an AQF level 8 or higher qualification.
Audio
* Extensive industry experience encompassing all facets of studio recording and production: Pro Tools (accredited Pro Tools instructor preferred), API, Avid S6, & SSL mixing desks, audio acoustics & physics, mixing, automation, advance microphone knowledge and production techniques, and project management.
* Demonstrated ability to undertake independent teaching and research in Music Industry.
* Music industry experience and strong industry networks
* Ability to design and deliver logical, succinct, up-to-date and engaging course materials and lessons.
* Proficiency in using learning management systems (i.e. Moodle) to create innovative and engaging learning experiences for students
* Ability to develop a range of complex documents that comply with all relevant quality standards, including unit plans and assessment tools
