Position Description
The General Labourer role plays an important role in supporting the daily operations relating to the delivery of Mandylights Projects and/or warehousing. Requiring physical stamina, the ability to work in different
environments, and understanding of safe work practives, this position ensures that Mandylights’ world-class creative concepts are delivered safely and efficiently at all times.
This role requires flexible work hours.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Continuous physical activity for extended periods, including stairs and uneven terrain
* Manual handling, lifting and carrying equipment for extended periods
* Irregular shift hours, I.E. overnight
* Working at heights
* Working outdoors in all weather conditions
* Working within a team environment
* Assist with the preparation, packing and onsite installation and removal of event and lighting equipment. This may take place in the Mandylights warehouses or on job sites.
* Work safely at all times per Mandylights SWMS / RAMS and Company safety policies.
* Work in a timely fashion to adapt to onsite changes
Experience and skills required
* White card
* A clean criminal record and ability to travel both interstate and internationally
* Provide formal proof of identity and legal entitlement to work in Australia
* Reliable and committed to shifts rostered
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
* Proactive nature with the ability to work autonomously
* Lift and carry up to 25kg
* No pre-existing health issues preventing performance in physical duties
* Availability to work both weekdays and weekends, as well as overnight
