Jands Pty Ltd, one of Australia’s leading distributors and manufacturers of professional audio, lighting and staging equipment, is seeking multiple casual Installation Technicians to join the installation team as required.
Contract work is also available to those tradespersons who hold current public liability insurance.
As an Installation Technician, you will assist with the installation and service of engineered entertainment products and equipment, including but not limited to, orchestra lifts, counterweight/motorised systems, curtains/curtain tracks and general rigging in cinemas, theatres, schools and similar venues as required.
The successful candidate will possess:
* General Construction Induction Card (White Card) (essential);
* A trade qualification in an relevant field (Building & Construction, Electrical, Engineering etc.);
* Working Safely at Height training certificate (essential);
* Thorough working knowledge of SWMS’s;
* Working knowledge of mechanical equipment and systems relevant to the theatrical and staging industry;
* Ability to read and follow construction plans and drawings;
* WorkSafe License to Perform High Risk Work – Dogging/Rigging/Scaffolding/Work Platform over 11 metres (desirable, but not essential); and,
* A current and valid Driver’s License – Class C minimum.
Work will be carried out in a variety of locations, within existing structures and buildings under construction. Some travel may be required.
