- Work at amazing locations: Zenith Theatre and Convention Centre, Chatswood (note: this role may occasionally involve working outside standard operating hours to support exciting events and performances)
- Salary from $39.15 – $46.40 per hour + 12% Superannuation

About the Role
As the Casual Event Staff (Technical), you will:
- Operate and maintain technical equipment including audio, lighting, video, and stage systems to support high-quality events
- Assist with event setup and breakdown ensuring venues are presented safely and professionally for hirers and the public
- Provide excellent customer service by liaising with clients to meet their technical requirements and event needs
- Support venue operations and maintenance including safety checks, equipment management, and adherence to WHS procedures
- Contribute to team performance by assisting colleagues, overseeing casual staff when required, and supporting the development of best practices within the Performing Arts team
What You’ll Bring
- Proven technical expertise in sound, AV, and lighting operations, including setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment
- Yellow Card EWP Licence
- Industry-recognised entertainment qualification or equivalent hands-on experience in live event production
- Skilled in rigging, patching, and operating lighting equipment, with familiarity in ETC Element systems
- Strong understanding of technical production requirements for live events, including planning and execution
- Experienced in production management and technical event planning, ensuring smooth and professional delivery
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality service to a wide range of clients, including community, corporate, and non-professional users
Desirable:
- Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (RSA)
- Knowledge or Experience in Local or State Government or similar environments
