Casual Duty Technician

We are looking for an experienced Multiskilled – Duty Technician (Casual) to join the team at Moonah Arts Centre.

The role will work collaboratively with the rest of the team and external venue hirers, providing technical and production support, covering bump-in/out, rehearsal and performance/presentation requirements, ensuring the smooth delivery of events e.g. theatre productions, live music, and conferences.

The role requires a thorough understanding of industry-standard systems,
including the installation and proficient operation of sound, lighting, and audio-visual presentation equipment consistent with live performance and conference
venues.

The role demands flexibility, and the incumbent is required to accommodate varying hours of operation, including a commitment to weekend and after-hours work.

The successful applicant will have:

  • 3+ years of industry experience, working in a live performance or conference venue.
  • Proven experience working with performers, promotors and event managers.
  • Technical understanding of audio-visual, sound and lighting systems.
  • Proven experience working in small teams, and balancing independence, initiative, and teamwork.
  • Well-developed communication, digital and literacy skills.


Qualifications required:

  • Working with Vulnerable People’s Card.
  • Working at Heights
  • White Card


Position Hours: Casual, as per operational requirements

Salary range: $65,209.83 to $68,464.41 (pro-rata) plus superannuation
