Conditions
We are currently establishing a pool of suitable candidates for casual appointments within the Backstage Crew at the State Theatre Centre. Applicants deemed suitable will be placed into a pool from which casual appointments may be made. The pool will operate for 12 months on completion of the recruitment process.
Location
DCA is based at Gordon Stephenson House, One40 William Street, Perth.
Jobs Description Details
Members of the backstage crew are part of a busy team working behind the scenes at the State Theatre Centre. Many different people are needed to ensure the smooth operation and continued success of the State Theatre and the various performances that they host. Good communication skills, ability to work in a team and independently, and an ability to resolve challenging situations as they arise are abilities that the successful candidate should be able to demonstrate.
The positions that are sought to be filled on a casual basis are:
- Mechanist
- Lighting Technician
- Sound Technician
- Dresser
- Wardrobe Maintenance
All positions require experience in their related field and a basic knowledge of the equipment used in this position. Each of the positions have separate requirements that are listed on the Job Description Form/s.
