As the Casino & Hotel AV Technician, you will take full ownership to monitor and complete the installation, set up and maintenance of all Star audiovisual production across the property, including General Entertainment requirements, Hotel in-room AV technology, Functions/Events production, Internal Training and all other AV applications property-wide. Overall, we are looking for a subject matter expert to support the business and its guests to ensure we deliver thrilling experiences every day.
More about my responsibilities as AV Technician:
- Taking ownership to complete all detailed and accurate reporting for each shift
- Being a subject matter expert by carrying out all lighting, sound and audiovisual technical requirements for entertainment performances and other general production requirements of The Star Gold Coast
- Monitoring the entertainment ensuring performance times are met and audio levels are appropriate.
- Monitoring and adjusting BGM audio levels across the property.
- Attending to all room calls within pre-determined Service Level Agreements (SLA) time frames.
- Ensuring all systems are regularly serviced and where necessary carry out repairs in a timely manner.
Have you got what it takes?
- Experience working within a large, in-house audiovisual team
- Experience in video editing (desirable)
- Ability to discuss technical industry requirements in lighting, sound, audiovisual, safety and procurement (Technical Certificate/s also ideal)
- Knowledge to set up and mix a basic 16 channel sound desk unit
- Experience in event production and operation including presentation switching
- Sound working knowledge of Media Matrix, IPTV, MATV and SCALA (desirable)
