Located in the historic setting of Perth’s Cathedral Square artist Tom Mùller in association with MOORE CONTEMPORARY transported city-goers into an enchanted landscape over February and March.
Titled CANON a large scale and immersive experience, CANON brings together an ensemble of sound plunged into a sequential generative cloud-form. Emulating a canon in song, a single voice builds to a hymn and reaches a crescendo as the audience stands witness to a performance of a large invisible choir enveloped by a celestial blanket of clouds, transforming Cathedral Square into a timeless and enchanted landscape.
Utilising Look Solutions high powered ORKA fog generators, CANON was best experienced on the grass of Cathedral Square, where the audience was fully immersed in the cloud formations of the fog.
Tom Mùller is an established multi-disciplinary artist with an active international practice of site-responsive and temporal projects.
