When it comes to promoting equine sports in Australia, not many names are more prevalent than the Australian Bushmen’s Campdraft and Rodeo Association (ABCRA). As Australia’s largest non-profit equine sporting organisation, the ABCRA’s rodeo, camp draft and other events are synonymous with horsemanship in Australia.
Such is the case with the ABCRA National Finals Rodeo – a 3-day competition held at the Australian Equine & Livestock Events Centre (AELEC) in Tamworth, NSW.?As with many years previous, ABCRA entrusted Forefront Productions to provide the equipment and professional experience needed to bring this iconic event to life.
With thousands of spectators and competitors in attendance, creating a seamless and engaging experience would be paramount. As with every event, the crew at Forefront took extra steps to remove any perceivable technical difficulty or hiccup, creating a rock-solid system that provided excellent audio-visual coverage for every seat in the venue.
Time and time again, the DiGiCo Quantum 225 has proven to be a reliable digital workhorse for the team at Forefront. From sporting events to concert stadiums, the console’s ample processing power, large channel count and list of impressive features has made it a go-to option for a wide range of events, and a staple mainstay in Forefront’s extensive and growing rental inventory.
With a high value placed on even audio coverage across the venue, Forefront’s Adamson CS Series Line Array proved once again to be the perfect solution. Deploying a total of 16 CS10 speaker elements, 8 CS7 Speaker elements, 4 CS119 Subs and 4 CS7p point source boxes for this event, not a single seat or spectator in the house would be left wanting.
As IMAG video would play a large role in bringing the audience’s attention to centre stage, a high-quality LED video solution would be needed. For this, Forefront drew from its well-stocked inventory of PixaPanel T5 screen, using 56 individual panels to create four 3.5 x 2m displays in a centre-hung jumbotron configuration. Thanks to its ultra-bright display and high pixel density, audiences could enjoy stunning video content even in a brightly lit venue.
