Now shipping and available in 300- and 600-watt, 2- or 4-channel configurations, Biamp’s new Voltera A Series amplifiers offer plug-and-play power and flexibility in a compact form factor and are ideal for restaurants, hotels, bars, education, small houses of worship, corporate or other applications where sound distribution or reinforcement is needed.
All models are compact half-rack designs with channels that can be individually selected to operate at 4-ohm, 8-ohm, 70V or 100V. They also support power sharing so that up to twice the power can be delivered by any channel. Every A Series amp ships with mounting accessories for a variety of mounting options — single or tandem in a single rackspace, or mounted in a variety of other locations (under tables, on walls behind screens/monitors, in ceilings, on shelves in credenzas, etc.)
Voltera amplifiers are half-rack designs with up to a total power of 600 watts delivered by two or four channels in a sleek, compact design. The amplifier channels are extremely flexible in that they can individually be selected to drive 4-ohm, 8-ohm, 70 volt or 100 volt. The 600 watt models are Energy Star certified. They are ideal for restaurants, hotels, bars, education, small houses of worship, corporate or other applications where sound distribution or reinforcement is needed. Weight is just 6.1 pounds.
Inputs default to +4 dBu input sensitivity no matter what load, making it easy to drive with any source. A manual per-channel configuration is also included with Mode switches for Lo/Hi-Z, Gain trim2 and a high-pass filter option.
The amp’s high power capability necessitates fans, but these are thermally controlled and support a whisper mode for normal operation. Other features are: included Tesira processing blocks for relevant Biamp loudspeakers; an auto standby mode; the ability of each channel to drive up to twice its rated power; CE marked, UL listed and RoHS compliant; and coverage via Biamp Systems’ five-year warranty.
