This was evident as recently, AVE went to the market looking to add to its impressive lighting inventory with an LED wash light that was both powerful and flexible. The search led them to come to Showtools International and request a demo of the new COLORado Panel Q40 from CHAUVET Professional. After putting the fixture through its paces, the company was thoroughly impressed and decided to acquire 20 of the fixtures from Showtools.
The COLORado Panel Q40 is a powerful IP65-rated rectangular wash light that features 40 15W RGBW LEDs. “When we had a look at the Q40 Panel, we were immediately impressed. It had everything we were looking for in a wash light,” commented Senior Technician Jacob Nakhla. “This fixture delivers the brightness needed for outdoor applications plus it includes a magnetic flood filter to produce a wider, but still even area wash.”
Another benefit for AVE in acquiring the Q40 panel is the fact the fixture is IP65 rated, “The fixture is an indoor/outdoor unit that is at home in any weather conditions with IP rated power and DMX connections. The COLORado Q40 Panel is a rugged, well-built RGBW LED wash that is going to be ideal for different events we do where indoor/outdoor flexibility is needed,” stated Jacob.
The Q40 also comes with other standout features as listed by Jacob, “The fixture easily mounts to truss with the supplied omega bracket, fast addressing with a battery powered display, wireless DMX communication with integrated W-DMX technology, adjustable Pulse Width Modulation frequencies to avoid flickering on camera and smooth 16bit dimming with several selectable dimmer curves.”
