With its beautiful private garden and bushland setting, Caley’s Pavilion is the ultimate destination experience for small-scale and intimate events, including weddings, gatherings, and corporate functions.
In February this year, The P.A. People was engaged by the Ku-Ring-Gai Council in Sydney to replace and simplify the AV system in the Pavilion. The original set-up was an amalgamation of outdated systems that were regularly tampered with, making it nearly inoperable.
First job was to remove and replace the outdated 4:3 screen with a newer ScreenTechnics 16:9 screen, making the system compatible with modern video and presentation formats.
We then replaced all the loudspeakers and amplifiers with modern Bose Professional surface-mount speakers, matched with Lab Gruppen power amplifiers, both inside the function room and in the outdoor patio area facing the lawn and rainforest.
To simplify things for almost anyone to operate, we installed a new Xilica Control System. Now everything can be controlled from one simple, easy-to-use touchscreen – including the two new handheld and the two new lavalier Sennheiser radio mic systems.
Finally, a Barco Clickshare device was added to the projector, enabling wireless screen sharing from a laptop in the room to the new front screen, thereby further delivering a customer-centric system that is easy to use and complements the venue’s usage requirements.
