We have a fantastic opportunity within our Public Programs team to utilize your technical know-how coupled with your exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills to support the successful operation of all audio visual operations for ACMI’s facilities and play a pivotal role in delivering ACMI’s broad range of public and commercial events including exhibition openings, conferences and talks, live events and corporate functions.
This broad AV Technician role will give you the opportunity to play an active role in the set-up, operation and pack down of audio-visual equipment including but not limited to sound systems, data projectors and vision switching, screens, theatrical and studio lighting media delivery as well as assist with installation and de-installation for ACMI’s exciting Exhibitions Program.
To be successful in this role, you will have prior experience in the provision and hands-on operation of venue, staging and integrated technical services coupled with pro-active work ethic and the ability to work as a member of a team. The ability to draw, read, understand detailed electrical / electronic diagrams of complex broadcast television systems is also required. A practical understanding of OH&S practices with particular attention to the safe installation and removal of portable staging, technical, theatrical lighting and rigging equipment is critical to the success of this role.
