AV Technician

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Working within our skilful Team, the successful applicant will assist with the delivery of engaging Audio Visual Services, reliable Technical Support and impressive event design solutions that achieve and exceed the objectives of our diverse range of clients. There will be an exciting mix of corporate events, boutique functions and live entertainment gigs that allow you to showcase your creative talents and achieve your professional and personal goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver an exceptional client experience from the initial enquiry and booking all the way to the event itself including the post-event follow-up;
  • Build and maintain strong positive relationships with all clients;
  • Deliver, set-up and ensure all equipment is safe and operational;
  • Maintain AV equipment and undertake any necessary diagnosis/repairs;
  • Provide AV Technical Support for all types of events;
  • Have an appreciation for processes, both operational and sales, to achieve results;
  • Monitor and clarify information on events and equipment (as required);
  • Maintain a tidy and professional personal presentation at all times;
  • Ensure all goods received and dispatched are recorded and stored appropriately;
  • Maintain client and event records with regular and accurate database updates.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & QUALITIES:

  • Demonstrated experience with event lighting, vision or audio technology;
  • Proven troubleshooting expertise;
  • Direct experience operating events and functions;
  • Advanced communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills;
  • Exceptional levels of professionalism including personal presentation;
  • A focus and enthusiasm for developing lasting relationships with clients;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Well-developed time management and organisational skills;
  • Highly-collaborative team player that aims for positive outcomes;
  • Methodical in approach to defined processes, operations and records management;
  • Very high level of computer literacy;
  • Ability to prioritise and handle a varied workload, both time-effectively and to a consistently high-standard;
  • An expectation that you will be working a diverse range of hours, both day and night in some instances, due to the nature of the event industry;
  • Ability and preparedness to move, lift and set-up/pack-down AV equipment;
  • A current NSW Driver’s License.
