$33.09 per hour + 9.5% superannuation

The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking experienced vision technicians to configure and operate vision switching consoles, media presentation software, projections and digital displays for events and programs at NGV.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience in the setup, configuration and operation of vision systems in the events and audiovisual industry, with aptitude in the following areas:
- Operation of vision mixing consoles, preferably experience with Roland mixers.
- Expertise in presentation software such as Resolume, Qlab, Watchout, Powerpoint, and Keynote
- Multi-screen display and projection, projection mapping and blending
- In depth knowledge of projector configuration and calibration
- Sound knowledge of video signal formats and devices, cabling, extenders, conversion, and troubleshooting
- Integration and mixing of live cameras and other hardware video sources.
- Experience live streaming, in particular to YouTube, Facebook
- Experience in setup, programming and operation of audio and lighting systems will be advantageous also.
Under direction, you will perform the installation, configuration, operation and pack down of vision systems and equipment in NGV event spaces and theatres. You will ensure the highest level of technical production and customer service is achieved for all events and programs large and small.
You will liaise with Event and Program coordinators in regards to the technical requirements of event running orders, ensuring all technical systems are fully set and tested prior to start time, and that the details and timing of running orders and technical cues are understood and provide technical direction where necessary.
