About the Perth Theatre Trust
The Perth Theatre Trust (the Trust) is a statutory authority established and constituted under the Perth Theatre Trust Act 1979 to oversee the management and operation of theatres vested or leased to the Trust by the State Government.

The Trust is responsible for the care, control, management, maintenance, operation and improvement of theatres under its control which currently includes the Albany Entertainment Centre, His Majesty’s Theatre, Subiaco Arts Centre and the State Theatre Centre of WA.

About the role
The Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries is seeking to establish a pool of Staging Supervisors at the Perth Theatre Trust for appointments to fixed-term, full-time vacancies. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments will be made as vacancies arise over the next four months from the initial date of appointment from this pool.

The Automation, Rigging and Flys Supervisor position ensures the timely installation, operation, and removal of staging, scenic elements and rigging equipment by providing supervision of the staging teams within the venues to which they are assigned.

This position will be for an initial fixed term period to 31 December 2021.

Conditions
A current (within 6 months) National Police Clearance Certificate will be required prior to commencement of employment.

Applicants found suitable for this recruitment pool may also be considered for ‘similar’ vacancies within the Perth Theatre Trust which arise prior to the pool’s closing date.

For temporary (fixed-term or casual) positions, you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract.

Location
This role is based at the Perth Theatre Trust Metropolitan venues.
