Austrian Audio expands its line of pro microphones with handheld OC-707 (condenser) and OD-505 (active dynamic) vocal microphones for onstage live performance.
The OC-707 contains a small-diaphragm condenser capsule (handmade in Austrian Audio’s facilities in Vienna) with a frequency response optimized for the human voice. Its combination of low self-noise (19 dBa) and high sound pressure level (150 dB SPL) creates a vocal microphone with all the characteristics of a studio mic but can withstand the rigours of stage use.
The active dynamic OD505 combines the advantages of a dynamic design with the sonic refinements of a condenser mic, achieving nearly the same sensitivity as a condenser, due to its state-of-the-art dual-capsule design where the bottom capsule is phase-inverted and passively switched. Combined with a switchable 2nd order high-pass filter and the Open-Acoustics-technology, noise from handling, bumps, and stage rumble is effectively eliminated.
