Perth’s Austage Events is an audio visual company specialising in technical services and event management for professional corporate events, conferences, product launches, exhibitions, fashion shows and much more.
With a diverse clientele to keep satisfied, Austage Events looked to add variety to their lighting inventory with the purchase of twelve Martin MAC Auras, fifty LED PAR Quad-18s, twenty Pro Shop LED Strip HO units, two Look Solutions Unique 2 Hazers and a W-DMX Transmitter with two Receivers.
“The MAC Auras are a rather versatile little moving head,” commented Dan Read, Technical Director at Austage. “They are nice and light making it easy to mount them in a variety of different places. Their compact size and attractive looks are perfect for the corporate market. Plus they are bright, fast and have some great colours.”
Dan reports that they mainly use the LED PAR Quad-18’s and Pro Shop LED Strip HO’s for up lighting in various situations.
“The HO’s are great for creating a bit of a stage look also on some truss uprights,” he added. “They are very bright and really pack a punch. I like that you can control them either as a solid bank or in segments to allow a slow colour scroll effect. As for the LED PAR Quad-18s, they’re compact in size – always a plus in our business – yet bright and can deliver warm or cool whites too. They’re also very cost effective – both in purchase price and running price.”
As for the Look Solutions Unique 2 Hazers, Dan remarks that they are the industry standard and never fail to impress.
“The W-DMX is a handy addition to our inventory and saves time running cables into roofs and to that one light the client wants to be able to control out in the foyer!” concluded Dan.
