Harry the Hirer is a leading event and production company, seeking full-time Audio Visual Technicians for its Sydney operations, based out of its office in Clyde. There are multiple positions available.
These positions are responsible for ensuring that events are delivered, installed & dismantled within the allocated time frame from start to finish.
Salary being offered is between $70,000 – $75,000 dependent on experience.
Tasks include but not limited to:
- Provide technical input and direction to develop a pre-event plan together with the Project Managers, site supervisors and sales staff to deliver clients’ vision for the clients’ events.
- Testing equipment at the warehouse before deployment to event premise
- Installing equipment according to clients’ approved set up designs, and ensuring compliance with Project Managers’ schedules
- Ensuring installed equipment fit its purpose and are set up in line with the approved event plan
- Ensuring safety of event premise with regard to equipment placement, use and operation, including briefing clients and team members as to any potential issues
- Dismantling equipment in line with Project Managers’ schedules
- Conducting regular inspections of all equipment, diagnosing faults and undertaking maintenance / replacements of parts as required
- Advising Management as to any equipment upgrades / technological advances available in the market
Qualifications / Experience:
- Cert III in a relevant course or higher
- At least three years’ relevant experience
