Trinity Grammar School is seeking to appoint a passionate Audio Visual Technician (Full Time) specialising in video.
Working as part of the ICT team, the Audio Visual Technician is responsible for providing excellent customer service, video and technical support in response to requests for Audio Visual assistance. This role also involves the acquisition and editing of the school’s audio visual digital content and the coordination of projects, storage and workflows that align with the ICT Service Delivery Standards. This role is also responsible for the preparation and operation of the audio visual requirements for School events and productions.
We are a large and busy organisation and our Audio Visual team need some additional support. Our team is busy looking after a diverse and interesting collection of events. The team are involved in over 40 major School production events each year including drama and musical productions, arts festivals, musical performances, and formal prize-giving and commemorative events. Additionally, this role will involve assisting with multi-track audio recordings for student exams and assessments, as well as supporting live streaming of 160, major assemblies, staff presentations, school sports and activities, and many more.
Successful applicants will be expected to work at across all campus, with most of the work located at Summer Hill. Some out of School hours work will be required for specific events. Actual hours of work will depend on the scheduled events and will be negotiated with the successful applicant subject to availability and interests.
What’s involved…
- Install, record, edit, and the duplication of video projects and live events
- Assist the set-up, provision and recording of live music and theatre performances including operating of lighting, creative video editing, audio mixing and web streaming to support student, staff and the wider community requirements.
Successful candidates will have…
- Tertiary qualifications (eg Certificate 3 in Live Production, Theatre and Events or equivalent)
- Experience in the recording and editing of video projects and thorough knowledge of editing software such as “Final Cut Pro” and/or “Adobe Premiere Pro”.
- Experience in the setup and operation of professional video cameras and video switching systems such as “NewTek Tricaster” and/or “Blackmagic”
- A working knowledge of audio visual presentation equipment such as audio visual control systems, audio mixers, compressors, EQs, wireless microphone systems, video mixers, DMX lighting control systems, video cameras, audio recorders, large video screen systems etc.
- Valid Driver’s Licence and vehicle to travel between Campuses
