We are looking for a self-motivated and savvy technician who has had experience in installing, configuring, operating a wide variety of Audio, Lighting and Vision equipment
Essential Attributes
- Minimum 2-3 years experience in Audio Visual hire and events
- Current knowledge of Audio, Lighting, Visual (TV, projectors) and LED screens
- At a minimum, the ability to set up a basic PA system
- Ability to roll cables correctly
- Ability to set up, test and check equipment for events, including configuration and troubleshooting
- Current Driver’s License (manual required, a medium or heavy rigid license is preferred but not essential)
- Must be able to work weekends and late nights.
- A passion for the events and audio-visual industry and a desire to advance your skills
- Productive and efficient work ethic – this is a fast-paced industry so you must be able to work quickly but with care
- You must be able to work as part of a team
- Excellent presentation is essential at all times.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Set up and pack down event equipment and also know how to technically operate it as required
- Fault finding and resolving technical issues for audio, visual and lighting equipment for event setups and customer hires
- Delivering consistent, friendly and responsive service to customers as required
- Demonstrating and reinforcing the company’s service standards at all times
- Ensuring all documentation is correctly completed, kept up to date at all times and pushed through the relevant channels (admin, accounts, operations, etc)
- Keep a warehouse sorted and tidy
- Complying with company policies and procedures
- Being responsible and taking ownership of the job in its entirety
Being forward-thinking and identifying where the client might need extra equipment to best suit their event requirements
To be considered for this role you must demonstrate:
- Trouble-shoot Audio Visual issues by investigating, identifying and resolving problems and requests;
- Service and maintenance of Audio Visual Equipment
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and unsupervised,
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Previous experience in the commercial audiovisual installation field
- Understand and be able to work day to day in the AV hire industry
