Audio Visual Head Technician

Qualifications & experience

The ‘Guru’ will have excellent technical and fault-finding skills and a keen eye for interpreting specifications and drawings. A pro problem solver, you’ll need to think independently on the run, but just as importantly, you must have strong interpersonal skills with an ability to think outside the square.

  • Have extensive working knowledge in Commercial and/or Residential projects
  • Crestron, Biamp, and RTI Experience
  • Commissioning complex Audio-Visual Systems
  • Intermediate networking knowledge
  • Understanding of audio-visual best practices
  • Understanding of control and automation systems
  • Proven ability to meet tight deadlines and able to cope with ad-hoc requests
  • Ability to work autonomously to a high standard
  • Strong emphasis on quality control and high attention to detail
  • Enthusiastic, Reliable with a strong work ethic and well presented
  • You must be reliable, dependable, trustworthy & honest.
  • Willingness to learn and follow directives
  • ACMA Cabling Licence with endorsements
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Construction Industry Card
  • EWP certification

Tasks & responsibilities

  • The chosen ‘Guru’ will be responsible for the delivery of basic to advanced integrated technology installations.
  • This includes, but is not limited to, running of cable, installation of head-end equipment, configuration, and programming and commissioning of Audio-Visual & Control Systems.
  • Interpreting technical designs and undertake all aspects of the system installation.
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders to ensure professional and timely delivery of projects
  • Present professionally and adhere to all OH&S requirements.
  • Building Audio-Visual equipment racks to a professional standard, while adhering to all equipment installation standards and manufacture recommendations.
  • Configuration of IP based Audio-Visual and IT equipment.
  • Efficient time management and updating of back of house tasks such as daily tasks completed, issues escalation, and progress of work completed.
  • Due to the nature of our work, after-hours efforts will occasionally be required to finish some key projects. Our scope of work is not limited to SE QLD, we also have projects in Melbourne, Sydney and Nth QLD.
