Audio Visual Events Release their Panasonic PT-RQ35Ks

Our new 30,000 lm, 4K laser projectors, the Panasonic PT-RQ35K are out and delivering amazing results on shows. They are the world’s smallest and lightest 30K lm projector with 4k resolution, making shows easier to deliver with the added benefit of whisper-quiet performance.

The unit’s red and blue laser engine produces deeper more accurate colours. It was this capability that made the units the perfect choice for Marc Warry from Sydney Grammar School during the recent production of the musical “Sunday in the Park with George” by Stephen Sondheim. The musical portrays a fictional story of interactions of the artist George Seurat while painting his famous artwork “A Sunday on La Grande Jatte”.

Marc said “Throughout the musical, projection plays an important part of the story as it shows the development of the artwork as well as sets the scene for other spaces. Naturally with a theatrical production that uses projection, a high-quality and powerful projector is required to cut through the stage lighting as well as give clear and vivid images as this now becomes the set. When looking at possible projections solutions we worked with AVE to come up with a suitable solution. They suggested the new Panasonic PT-RQ35KE projector and after testing we agreed that it would be fantastic.”

Speaking of the set, it was an impressive 10m wide wall which “we projected short videos that were managed by Qlab. As can be seen by the images the Panasonic PT-RQ35KE projector cut through and gave outstanding results,” Marc advised.

Whilst for City of Sydney‘s “City Talks” event last week, it was the output that delivered for John Meillon Jnr, who utilised the PT-RQ35K on one of our 12m x 4m AV Stumpfl screens, from a throw distance of 43m. The results spoke for themselves.

Mark Shepherd Head of Production at AVE reflected on the addition of the PT-RQ35K projectors to AVE’s current fleet, commenting “They signal AVE’s commitment to providing quality end-to-end solutions for our industry colleagues.”

Peter Huljich, GM Media & Entertainment Division of Panasonic Australia, said “There was concern that projection was going to drop off due to the strong focus on LED solutions that occurred in studios during Covid. In fact, it’s been quite the opposite. Buoyed by our new range of high-end laser products, projection has bounced back stronger than we thought. Given that level of demand it was great to see AVE’s continued investment in Panasonic projectors, ensuring that a strong local AV company can support their clients and the local live event industry’s needs. It’s a signal things are heading in the right direction.”
