The Position
We are seeking a motivated and customer service focussed Audio Engineer, Lighting, and ICT Technician to join our ICT Team on a full-time temporary capacity up to 11 December 2020.
The Audio Engineer, Lighting, and ICT Technician supports the delivery of all aspects of the School’s curriculum and operations and is responsible for providing audio-visual services to staff and students.
Reporting to the Technology Manager, this position will…
- Provide professional sound and lighting support for all HVGS performances, productions, and functions
- Support student recordings and the HVGS Live CD production in liaison with designated Music Faculty Staff in the School’s recording studio
- Provide training and support to staff and students with Windows and Apple end user devices (Mac Books, iPads, and iPhones), as well as for AV equipment and classroom projection and interactive whiteboard systems
- Maintain the recording studio equipment and orchestra room sound setting and pack up including routine cleaning, maintenance, and repair of AV equipment
The successful candidate will…
- Be an all-round professional, dedicated to customer service and continuous improvement
- Be able to demonstrate excellent collaboration, interpersonal and communication skills
- Have experience with operating sound and lighting systems for events and in working in the audio-visual section of a facility, preferably within a school
- Have experience with supporting Windows and Apple end-user devices (Mac Books, iPads, and iPhones)
- Be able to demonstrate an enthusiasm for the development and improvement of student learning outcomes with the view to develop interest and increase experience in the use of current and emerging technologies
- Be willing and prepared to support and enhance the wide variety of performance and School events occurring both in and outside of normal School hours
- Have a current Working With Children Check.
The successful candidate may…
- Have a Certificate IV Music Industry (CUA40915) or equivalent
- Have a Certificate IV Training and Assessment (TAE40116)
- Have experience in a school or educational environment
Salary
The salary for this position aligns with the Educational Services (Schools) General Staff Award 2010 and is classified as Curriculum / Resources Services Grade 3 (Level 4.1).
