About the role
The successful Audio and Vision Operator will be responsible for assisting the installation and operations of audio and vision equipment to enhance and support the artistic and technical requirements of all Opera Australia productions.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise bump in and installation of Audio and Vision systems as required for OA productions
Assist installation of surtitle system and monitor performance
Supervise venue A/V staff during set up, rehearsal, performance, and strike of OA productions
Assist in the creation and updating of production records for vision and audio files
Assist in preparation of production schedules as required
Liaise with production creatives including Vision and Audio designers
About you
The successful Audio and Vision Operator will have over three years, in supply, installation, programming, maintenance and accurate documentation of theatrical audio and vision systems and designs, and Cert 4 or above in recognised industry training course in Audio and/or Vision operation.
You must also have:
Strong organisational and administrative skills, including strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and control own workload.
You will have exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and be able to build and maintain strong working relationships.
A strong focus on continuous improvement
A team player who is self-motivated and shows initiative
