Nick Jones of Nick Jones Audio has had a busy start to 2023, system teching, production managing, and operating audio at quite a few events up and down the east coast.
A few stand-out gigs have been Agnes Blues and Roots Festival, Country By the Bay Festival, and Casino Family day in the Park. At these particular events, Nick either used or rented production from companies that use Australian Made products from AT Professional.
Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival has been a regular gig for Nick for nearly 10 years. In 2023 he engaged Ashley Butler from ADB Productions to supply his full AT Professional sound system. This consisted of a big version of the CLA600 system, powered by Powersoft X4 amplifiers, plus SCX24 Foldback Wedges, and SFM215 Drum Fill. According to Nick, his system well and truly serviced the needs of the festival, with the amplification allowing for plenty of headroom to achieve the required SPL.
For Casinos Family Fun day in the Park, Nick was the system tech/audio operator for the day. This event was serviced by Adam Schmidt of AS SOUND SOLUTIONS. According to Nick, Adam’s AT Professional TLA508 system, supported by CLA600s for Front Fill, with the absolute weapon of several Groundswell Subs to support a very big and mighty bottom end. The stage was also complimented by SFM24 foldback wedges, and the system was supported by AS Sounds’ own amplifier system, which delivered well to the system.
Nick mixed FOH at Country By the Bay with his band being the headliner. The audio production was serviced by an AT Professional TLA312 system, with several CLALF6000 & BB07 subs for bottom-end support. Also on stage were the SCX25 Foldback Wedges. The FOH system was powered also by Powersoft, but this time the X8 amplifiers. The PA system didn’t fail to deliver, and the increased availability of power from the PowerSoft series definitely didn’t go unnoticed. This was a system owned by Josh at Luminous Production Services Melbourne.
