Assistant Production Technician

  • $40.95 per hour (LGIA Stream B Major Venues Level 2) + Superannuation
  • Location – Rockhampton

Your new role

In this role, you will be responsible for installation and maintenance of technical, exhibition and event equipment, to ensure artists, performers, hirers and presenters can bring their creative vision to life.

You will work across a range of cultural and event based venues within the region.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check – Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

What we are looking for

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • A positive attitude towards safety with a high level of surrounding awareness
  • Ability to work under pressure within a fast paced, outcome driven team
  • Passion for the arts and technical production
  • Working with Children Blue card is a mandatory requirement for this role
  • Construction Industry Induction (White Card), Elevated Work Platform Licence, Forklift Licence are highly desirable

Application Criteria

  • Experience in live production, theatre, visual arts industry including professional sound, lighting and audio visual experience.
  • Experience in installation and maintenance of exhibition related construction and technical equipment.
  • Communication skills with the ability to engage with customers and other key stakeholders
  • Team player and ability to think on your feet and problem solve within a high-pressure environment
