Apogee Launches New Symphony Studio Series Interfaces

Apogee Electronics has unveiled the Symphony Studio Series, a new line of three recording and mixing interfaces designed to provide entry points to Dolby Atmos/immersive audio.

“The Symphony Studio Series marks a significant expansion of our product line, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to growth and development,” says Betty Bennett, CEO and founder at Apogee. “We’ve created a new standard for affordable, high-end audio, making it easier than ever for aspiring and established professionals alike to experience the pristine audio quality Apogee is known for.”

The Symphony Studio Series comes in three configurations – 8×8, 2×12, and 8×16 – catering to a range of traditional and immersive studio setups and needs. Equipped with 75 dB of clean gain, the preamps are designed to ensure microphones are faithfully reproduced.

The series integrates with immersive audio formats, supporting up to 9.1.6 Dolby Atmos configurations. Users can tailor their monitoring environment with the included Control 2 software offering calibration tools, 8 Apogee Monitor Workflows, and support for two subwoofers. Also onboard is loudspeaker calibration, and output DSP that includes room EQ, bass management and loudspeaker delay.

Further, the Symphony Studio Channel Strip, an input DSP plugin, offers sound shaping with very low latency. Tools include EQ, compression, and saturation. Optional hardware control comes via the Apogee Control Remote with eight customizable buttons for adjusting levels and recalling monitor workflows. A USB-C connection provides plug-and-play operation with Mac and Windows computers.
