The ULA Group wrapped up another successful round of the Annual CX roadshow last week. The show travelled through 6 Australian states and territories, visiting each Capital city and showcasing to Australia’s industry professionals the latest technology from our entertainment Lighting product range – including Robe, VuePix, ArKaos, Litecraft, ChamSys, Avolites and MDG products.
The CX Roadshow kicked of in Perth mid February, welcoming first visitors from various areas of the professional market. The attendee list ranged from tech students, club owners, venue technicians to directors of Lighting and Audio rental and Installation companies. The always pleasant and relaxed Perth surprised exhibitors with the High attendance for this event. The numbers grew once again in Adelaide which was the second stop. A really good number of quality visitors including those from top Theatres and entertainment venues came in to check the latest products available on display.
The always busy city of Melbourne was a great success, with a flurry of entertainment experts calling in to check out some of the new toys. The next stop on this grand tour was our nations capital, the city of Canberra, where crowds were not that large but the upside was those who came in got more time to look thru the products displayed. Both the Sydney and Brisbane legs of the roadshow were very busy, and all those who attended were keen to touch and play with the nice new things in front of them.
The ULA Group also hosted 3 seminars in each city as part of the roadshow agenda. These focused on the latest trends in our industry.
Josef Valchar – General Manager & CEO of Robe lighting hosted the ‘LED Moving Head technology’ seminar, outling the latest developments in LED entertainment lighting and showcasing the very latest products from Robe’s ROBIN series. Valchar comments: “Hosting the seminars was a great chance to get right in front of the people who are using and are interested in our products, hearing their opinions, wants and ideas first hand and discussing how these might affect potential future developments. It was also good to spend time with ULA and their extremely dynamic and proactive team who are all fantastic brand ambassadors.”
Marco Hinic – the owner of ArKaos together with his Technical Support Manager – Toon Servaes flew from Belgium to join our team touring Australia and hosting their seminars ‘Videomapping, the easy way!’, a very hot topic for lighting designers across all the markets. Marco Hinic comments: “We were very happy to bring our latest technology on the road here in Australia. Each stop we made not only allowed us to meet our customers but also gave us the opportunity to meet new potential clients that were absolutely convinced by our 1 hour session on video mapping. We believe that these sessions will now motivate new and creative use of the MediaMaster 3 here in Australia! We also used this trip to meet long time friends and users of ArKaos and present them a sneak preview of our next major release of MediaMaster. All of this was only possible thanks to the support of the ULA team and we thank them for that!”
ULA’s technical experts also hosted seminars about new released compact range of ChamSys consoles. In typical production do or die fashion we shipped in a brand new MQ60 console from England which arrived at the very last minute having cleared customs just 5 minutes before the seminar in Perth started. Having the new console here gave us the opportunity to launch this exciting product in Australia and gave our customers a chance to get their hands on the console and experience the new features this compact lighting console offers.
The CX Roadshow 2013 was again a great opportunity for us to bring our latest technology and products closer to our customers. Being held only 2 months after our very successful Christmas Road Show, we were proud to launch again some exciting new products, which cements our commitment to always keep delivering our customers the latest and greatest technologies available on the market.
Cuono Biviano, Managing Director of ULA Group, comments: “The CX Roadshow was another great success for us. It was good to see that the roadshow had grown from the previous year and it was great to visit Canberra this year as well. I would like to thank Julius and his team for organising the great roadshow.” He ads: “Our 3 seminars we held were very successful. I also would like to give thanks to Josef Valchar, Marco Hinic and Toon Servaes for traveling out so far. It shows their commitment to the Australian market and to us as a proud Australian distributor. We look forward to CX next year”.
