PROJECT OVERVIEW
NOYADE was conceived as a hidden New York-style cocktail bar tucked into a residential setting, offering a full-service kitchen and an intimate, ambient environment. The brief for the venue was to create a rich, immersive sound experience that elevated the atmosphere without overwhelming conversation—a delicate balance for any audio integration specialist.
PROJECT REQUIREMENTS
From the outset, the audio system was to deliver:
• Clear, broad sound depth—even at low volumes
• Full-range audio with solid bass and non-tinny treble
• Minimal sound leakage to respect nearby residential properties

• 2x PSB CS605 In-Ceiling Speaker Packs (4 per pack)
• 2x PSB CS1000 Outdoor Speaker Pairs
• 1x NAD Ci580v2 Network Media Player
• 1x NAD Ci16-60DSP 16-Channel Amplifier
• 1x PSB SUB250 (Outdoor)
• 1x PSB SUB450 (Indoor)
DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION
In the indoor bar area, six PSB 6.5-inch in-ceiling speakers were installed with colour-matched grilles for a discreet look. These were powered by six channels from the NAD Ci16-60DSP amplifier, housed alongside the NAD Ci580v2 media streamer and the 12-inch PSB SUB450 subwoofer, all hidden from sight to preserve the venue’s aesthetic. On the back deck, two pairs of weatherproof PSB CS1000 speakers were driven in bridged mode using eight channels of the same NAD amplifier. A PSB SUB250 10-inch outdoor subwoofer complemented these to ensure impactful bass across the outdoor space.
OUTCOME
The result is a venue with a striking sound profile that supports a contemporary, moody, and multi-layered downtempo club playlist streamed in Hi-Res via Tidal. The system delivers rich, immersive sound throughout the space—indoors and outdoors—meeting all initial objectives.
