Allen & Heath has introduced the new SQ-Rack, the latest addition to the SQ series of mixers that combines a 96 kHz XCVI core with numerous connectivity and control options in a 4U rack-mount form factor with multiple mounting options.
SQ-Rack provides 48 input channels, with local I/O alongside a SLink port, integrating with Allen & Heath’s “Everything I/O” ecosystem. Users can expand with option cards for Dante, Waves, MADI, and additional SLink capabilities. Multichannel USB support enables recording and playback, connecting to a computer or an external drive.
There’s a dedicated fader screen, customizable SQ-Control display, and tactile hands-on controls, while SQ-MixPad, SQ-4You, and SQ-Control apps offer additional control options.
Product manager Keith Johnson says, “We’ve had many requests over recent years for a rack mount SQ, with no faders, so we built it! I’m proud of the SQ-Rack control options, easy touchscreen access to faders and the ‘SQ-Control’ screen and App, giving quick access and simplified custom control.”
