With a production valued at over US$25 million, Kylie’s Aphrodite-Les Folies Tour 2011 features over a million moving parts, including 30 high impact water jets, rain curtains, fountains and nearly 600 light sources! The bespoke stage, alone costing over $10 million, is the most technically advanced, complex and precision stage ever created for an arena and was built by tait towers.
The water elements in the show have been designed by the same team who engineered the famous water fountain show at Bellagio in Las Vegas, and the spectacular “World of Colour” show at Disneyland in California. Leading technology ensures that all water used in the show is recycled throughout the performance, with a rapid filtration system cycling the water through the massive stage. Aphrodite-Les Folies Tour 2011 will feature a totally unique “splash zone” within the stage itself, where fans can be the centre of the action in an amazing 4D experience.
Lighting for the show has been designed by Nick Whitehouse with Steven Douglas touring as lighting director. Steven has kindly agreed to conduct two ALIA tours next month; Brisbane and Melbourne. The rig includes 12 x Custom Gold Low Pro Trusses, 84 x VL 3500 Wash, 84 xVL 3000 Spot, 4 x VL 3500 FX, 30 x VL 500, 26 x Martin Atomic , 26 x Atomic Scrollers, 303 x Colour Blast, 23 x Custom Fountain LED Fixtures , 26 x 4 Lite Mole, 4 x Truss Spot with DMX Scroller, 4 x FOH Spot, 110m of Pro LED Flex, MDG The One Hazers, Low Smoke. Control is by a MA Lighting grandMA 2 Full + Lite.
