ALIA Tour to Walking With Dinosaurs Sydney

     

After 65 million years they’re back! Walking with Dinosaurs – The Arena Spectacular, based on the award-winning BBC television Series which was seen by over 700 million people, has returned to Australia for a national tour.  Walking with Dinosaurs – The Arena Spectacular originated in Australia, where after years of planning the show came to life at Sydney’s Acer Arena in January 2007 and has since been touring the world garnering record-breaking statistics. Walking with Dinosaurs was named the number 1 selling tour in the world in 2010 ahead of AC/DC, U2 and Bon Jovi! 20 life-size dinosaurs, including the terror of the ancient terrain, Tyrannosaurus-rex come to life in this dazzling $20,000,000 arena spectacle of unprecedented size and quality that travels from town to town in a staggering 33 semi-trailers.

The lighting is designed by John Rayment with Jason Fripp operating/directing the show. Jason has not only kindly agreed to conduct a tour of the lighting on Wednesday May 18th but he has arranged tickets for the preview show at 2pm. This will be followed by the tour at 4.15pm. The rig includes 31 x Martin MAC2000 Performance, 12 x Vari-lite 1000, 15 x Martin Atomic strobes, 2 x 3K Quasar Strobes, 74 x VL3000 and 119 x MAC2000 Profiles controlled by a grandMA.

Date: Wednesday May 18th
Time: Show starts at 2pm followed by tour at 4.15pm.
Where: Acer Arena, Sydney
