The ALIA tours in Melbourne and Sydney were a great success with many Year 11 and 12 students attending as well as those studying Live Production post-school.
The response shows that there is a vast pool of possible future technicians out there!
ALIA needs your input to organise future events. Can you host a tour? It doesn’t have to be a massive event and numbers are up to you. The Backstreet Boys hosted 20 people (in Sydney we had around 50 applicants) but even a tour for five is worthwhile.
Alternatively, maybe you can offer a day of ‘shadowing’ for the occasional promising student.
