Last month Linkin Park accepted the Award for ‘Best Live Act’ at the 2010 European Music Awards and this month they will reign over Australia, playing major arena shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.
Linkin Park’s live performances are designed to be a transformative multi-media experience, with a unique blending of music, art and extraordinary visual technology. Lauded as one of the most dynamic and energetic live acts around, Linkin Park raised arena roofs and earned rave reviews during their hugely successful October 2007 national tour (despite Chester Bennington sustaining a broken wrist during an incredible Melbourne performance!).
Lighting designer AJ Pen has kindly agreed to conduct a tour of his lighting rig on December 13th in Melbourne. The rig includes 18 x Martin MAC III Profile, 41 x Vari*Lite VLX Wash, 7 x Martin MAC2000 Performance, 24 x Martin Atomic 3000, 12 x Vari*Lite VL*3500 Wash, 5 x LED PAR, 30 x 4-LITE Molefay, 36 x PAR 64 (in 6-lamp bars) CP60 (very narrow) lamp, 4 x JEM ZR-33 smoke machines. Control is a Martin M1 used in a very unusual way (see image, click to enlarge). Photo: Tim Solar.
