Inspired by James Cameron’s record breaking film AVATAR, Cirque du Soleil’s Toruk: The First Flight transports you to the world of Pandora in a visually stunning Arena spectacular. Experience a storytelling odyssey through a new world of imagination, discovery, and possibility.
Through a riveting fusion of cutting-edge visuals, puppetry and stagecraft buoyed by a soaring cinematic score, Cirque du Soleil applies its unique signature style to James Cameron’s imaginary world and “makes the bond” between two kindred artistic visions that capture the imagination.
Toruk: The First Flight features set and props design by Carl Fillion, lighting design by Alain Lortie, sound design by Jacques Boucher, puppet design by Patrick Martel, and rigging and acrobatic equipment design by Pierre Masse.
Looking after the lighting for this Australian tour is Simon St-Louis who has kindly agreed to conduct a tour of the lighting design.
The rig includes 38 x VL4000 Spot, 10 x VL3000 Wash, 2 x VL3000 Spot, 16 x Claypaky Mythos, 12 x Sharpy, 12 x Sharpy Wash 330, 16 x GLP Impression X4, 56 x Elar 108 PAR RGBW , 12 x LitePanels 1×1 Standard, 26 x Lumenbeam Medium, 11 x Glaciator X-Stream and 13 x G-300 Fogger.
