For the first time in eight years, AFI made their highly anticipated return to Australia, joining Green Day on The Saviors Tour for an unforgettable run of shows.
In addition to three major stadium performances, AFI treated fans to two headline sideshows at iconic venues — The Enmore in Sydney and Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane.
ResX supplied a full lighting package for the entire tour. The rig featured ShowPRO R2 Beam Wash lights, known for their intense 300W LEDs and precise beam control. Vibrant Claypaky B-EYE K20s delivered dynamic, full-colour pixel-mapped effects with a wide zoom range, adding movement and depth to the stage visuals. High-impact Acme Pixel Line IP 1000 battens provided seamless, eye-catching pixel effects. Cameo Hazers filled the stage with fine, even haze, enhancing beam definition and creating a dramatic, immersive atmosphere. Power was expertly managed by StageSmarts’ advanced distribution system, with everything controlled seamlessly through the state-of-the-art MA3 lighting console for flawless synchronisation and creative control.
Every element of the rig was meticulously prepped in our warehouse — built into truss, fully tested, and ready to deploy. This careful preparation meant that when it came time for the first stadium show, everything rolled in smoothly and without delay.
The pressure was on with only 90 minutes to set up the rig before Green Day’s set change, but the ResX crew pulled off a flawless load-in and full setup in just 9 minutes. This lightning-fast turnaround showcased the value of expert preparation and teamwork, making sure the show went on without a hitch.
