The latest addition to ADJ’s popular COB Cannon Series of LED wash lighting fixtures, the COB Cannon LP200, offers colour mixing from a full-size fixture that is for use as a pendant-style house light as well as many other applications.
Featuring a powerful lime-infused COB LED light source, this fixture offers an output with a high CRI and delivers a spectrum of colour options including white light with variable colour temperature.
At the heart of the COB Cannon LP200 is a high output 200-Watt COB (Chip On Board) LED engine, which combines red, green, blue, amber and lime LED chips to offer colour mixing with a uniform output that is free from colour shadows. It can also be used to output white light with a colour temperature variable between 2300K (warm) and 9900K (cool). The fixture’s advanced LED engine offers a high CRI of >90, which means that it will render colours accurately when used to illuminate scenery, décor, and people.
While in the past separate Dynamic White and Colour versions were necessary, the new lime-infused colour engine allows this fixture to provide the same output as both older units combined. This full-size COB Cannon design is often popular for house lighting applications where the fixture is mounted pointing directly down. The COB Cannon LP200 features Omega bracket connection points on its rear panel, allowing direct connection of a clamp to the fixture. However, it is also supplied with a removable scissor yoke, which locks securely into place using a pair of large plastic thumb-tightening screws and can either be used as a variable-angle hanging bracket or floor stand.
A wide native beam angle of 80-degrees allows the COB Cannon LP200 to wash a large area with coloured light. It is also supplied with a lens kit which comprises both 40-degree and 50-degree lens options.

The COB Cannon LP200 can also be controlled via DMX and it offers a choice of 10 different DMX channel modes, which can be selected based on the level of control required and the number of channels available in the particular situation in which the fixture is used. As well as full 16-bit colour mixing control over the unit’s five primary LED colours, linear white light colour temperature control is also facilitated via a single channel and DMX can be used to remotely select any of the fixture’s 64 built-in colour macros.
A wide variety of customisable options are available, allowing the fixture to be configured to a user’s personal preferences or the specific requirements of a particular application. These include six selectable dimming modes (Standard, Stage, TV, Architectural & Theatre), four selectable dimming curves (Square, Linear, Inverse Square & Square Curve) and adjustable dimming speed (between 0.1 and 10 seconds). In addition, the LED Refresh Rate can also be adjusted using 14 presets (ranging from 900Hz to 25,000Hz)
Input and output connections are located on the rear of the unit, with locking power and five-pin DMX input sockets on one side and locking power and five-pin DMX output sockets on the other. Using the power output sockets, up to five COB Cannon LP200 fixtures can be daisy-chained from a single outlet. The unit is also fitted with a USB Service Port, which will facilitate quick and easy loading of any future firmware updates.
The COB Cannon LP200 is suited for a wide variety of permanent installation and temporary event applications including stage washing, highlighting décor, illuminating dancefloors, and house lighting.
