ADDITIVE have had a busy end of the year topped off with a purchase of an MA Lighting MA3 Compact XT, as well as one of the first MA3 command wings into Australia from Show Technology.
ADDITIVE is a design and technical production house made up of three friends and long time collaborators who want to see your project evolve and succeed. They recently moved into new offices and at the same time launched their new previsualization studio.
“We wanted a space where we can spend time exploring and developing a production before it bumps into a space” commented Tom Wright. “Being able to use two separate set ups, both running a multitude of software (MA3D, L8 and WYSIWYG), in a large inviting space was a real plus for us. We can easily show clients and artists what we are intending on doing in comfort, whilst also being able to prep two shows concurrently without running out of physical and console space. Now, with the MA3 hardware, we can do so on the latest platform, with a desk that we can easily move with us to the venue.”
The studio is available to hire as a standalone space to any LDs who want time to refine their ideas. Either they bring their own console and viz computer or hire ours. At the other extreme ADDITIVE offer a full service where they will take your idea and create a full plan set and a working model ready for you to just turn up and program.
“We are also encouraging anyone wanting to learn new software and hardware, or is working pro bono on a project, to use the space for free – or at least a contribution to our beer fund!” added Tom.
