ACLX look to the future with grandMA3

Aaron Chesham, Managing Director of New Zealand’s ACLX, says he was ‘that close’ to buying an MA Lighting grandMA2 when he heard that the grandMA3 was in the pipeline. Founded on the legacy of the previous grandMA consoles, the grandMA3 represents a radical re-think of what’s possible from a lighting control platform.

“Getting onto the grandMA3 as soon as we could means we’ll get a good ten years out of it,” he stated. “When you spread the cost across ten years, it really is a good investment.”

Aaron can’t wait for the grandMA3 software to become fully available for his grandMA3 light saying he is excited by the potential it offers.

“However, our grandMA3 light has integrated seamlessly with the grandMA2 software and everyone who has used it, loves it,” he added. “At first I found the new layout a bit strange as the buttons aren’t where they should be …. but you can soon tell they are in a better place! It’s almost like they’re where they should have always been. The new buttons are very nice and easy to use, the faders are more responsive and the touchscreens are way better too.”

ACLX’s grandMA3 light has already worked hard on a variety of events where her refined user interface, designed to be ergonomic yet fully featured, impressed all who came across her.
