Account Manager

Jands is a leading Australia and New Zealand audio-visual distributor. We have been provided professional audio, lighting and staging solutions since 1970! Jands has a portfolio that is filled with some of the world’s leading audio, video, lighting, control, and staging solutions and technologies. The role is based in Port Melbourne office as well as selling  face to face to music retailers in Victoria and Tasmania.

About the Role

This is a great opportunity to join the Jands team based in Melbourne as an Account Development Manager. The Account Development Manager – Retail (VIC & TAS) is responsible for the sales growth of the Jands distributed product lines to retailers within Victoria and Tasmania.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to and participate in the planning of sales growth and annual sales targets within Victoria and Tasmania.
  • Deliver the quarterly and annual sales target.
  • Ensure Jands products are displayed prominently and functionally within Reseller’s stores
  • Ensure Reseller’s key staff are trained on operating and selling Jands products
  • Ensure Reseller participation in Jands promotional activities both in store and online
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of the Company’s distributed product range, technologies and service offerings through various means, including but not limited to, attending training sessions, reviewing supplier websites, establishing personal networks and reading industry publications.
  • Review client history and contacts as a follow-up activity, ensuring all relevant details are entered into the company CRM.
  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with client base and maintain a thorough understanding of clients’ organisation, products / services, structure as well as anticipating their needs, based on insights and understanding of challenges, opportunities and expected changes for clients.
  • Provide regular feedback and work collaboratively with Marketing specifically related to client responses and market intelligence.
  • Promptly attend to customer requests and queries, regardless of work pressures.
  • Attend and actively participate in Sales meetings and in-house training sessions, as required.
  • Undertake general duties and action required tasks associated with core and peripheral activities related to Sales, as directed.

About You:

  • Current Drivers’ Licence
  • A proven, effective sales ability.
  • Proven track record managing accounts within an expanding business portfolio.
  • Ability to develop and implement a sales plan in line with a greater company strategy.
  • A proven ability to deliver on commitments and achieve budgets.
  • The highest level of interpersonal skills, coupled with a strong ability to communicate clearly and precisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Organisational and administrative ability, coupled with superior English skills.
  • Previous experience and knowledge working with a CRM.
  • Initiative, confidence in relating to management
  • Proven ability to work efficiently within a collaborative environment and with minimum supervision.
  • Proven organisational skills, the ability to prioritise, organise and coordinate multiple and competing tasks.
