32 Hundred Lighting Use Pathway’s Pathport For Colours Of Vivid

One of the highlights of this year’s Vivid Festival was 32 Hundred Lighting’s ‘Colours of Vivid’ project which was a beautifully synchronised play of colour across eleven of Circular Quay’s most famous buildings.

Iain Reed, managing director of 32 Hundred, chose to use a Pathway Pathport DMX-over-Ethernet system to distribute the data network using Ethernet and airBridges.

The five single Pathport® Uno nodes and one Octo node were described by Iain as easy to configure Artnet to DMX protocol converters.

“It meant we could run the entire project on Ethernet,” commented Iain. “The Pathport gear was great and 100% reliable. The Pathport management software helped track the network. Pathway has a great product – you just plug it in and away you go. It’s a very cost effective solution and provides extremely flexible data routing systems for large installations.”

Pathport Networked DMX products provide both DMX-over-Ethernet capabilities and powerful must-have DMX management features. Pathway Connectivity’s Pathport series of Ethernet DMX distribution nodes are available as a wall-mount, rack-mount or portable unit. A number of models in this range are available in Australia.
