2011 Australian International Motor Show

The 2011 Australian International Motor Show, the biggest Motor event hitting the Australian shores each year, was held at the beginning of July in Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Over 193,000 motoring fans came to see more than 400 vehicles on display from car manufacturers from all around the globe.

Clifton Productions team traditionally supplied lighting and visual technology for several stands, including Holden, Maserati, Toyota and Lexus.

The huge VuePix M series screen made its Australian debut on the Holden stand, which backed up the feature presentations promoting the new vehicles. The LED screen consisted of 72x VuePix M10 panels and was used as a main visual element on Holden stand during the whole show and also during the dynamic show for press day.

The Holden stand also featured 49x Robe Robin 600 LEDWash fixtures, which were used for the main booth lighting. The new vehicles launched at the show, including Holden Colorado 4×4, new Holden Barina and Holden Cruze hatchback, had circular trussing pieces flown directly above, each rigged with either 6 or 8 LEDWahses creating great visual effects for the new cars.

The Toyota stand was lit with lots of Robe ColorSpot 2500E ATs, a feature added to the design by Ziggy Ziegler, who also unleashed his imagination on the Lexus stand, this time using ROBIN 600 LEDWashes.

The Maserati stand also featured  Robe ColorSpot 2500ATs.

Various clients were all delighted with the effects of using the Robes, reports Clifton’s Warren Maher, adding “The 600 LEDWash is an ideal unit for this type of application”.
