Twisted Pair add Ayrton Rivales to their Fleet

In need of a new workhorse profile fixture, Twisted Pair Productions has invested in sixteen Ayrton Rivale Profile fixtures from Show Technology.

Highlighting a need for a medium-sized IP65 profile that can handle all production environments from outdoor electronic music festivals to theatres and corporate ballrooms, Head of Lighting Michael ‘Gilly’ Gill selected the Rivale as a Swiss Army Knife for Twisted Pair’s lighting fleet. Proving its versatility at a number of events, it is shaping up to be a dependable tool that delivers outstanding lighting results for Twisted Pair’s clients.

“Having been deployed at Earth Frequency Festival, Goodlife Lost City, and Teneriffe Festival already, the experience of using the Rivales has been wonderful,” said Gilly. “It has a very rich colour mixing system that works so quickly and precisely that it can keep up with additive-mixing wash lights. The gobo selection has a good balance of textures and aerial effects shapes, and the framing shutter module is fantastic.”

Most impressive though, says Gilly, is the output-to-weight ratio, which he adds is outstanding for an IP65 unit.

“Having almost as much firepower as a Perseo while being 12kg lighter makes a better time for everybody, from LDs to loaders. And for not being a hybrid fixture, the tight 4-degree minimum zoom delivers some pretty convincing beams.”

Already, the Rivale is becoming a dependable tool for Twisted Pair Productions, and showing all the signs of being a worthy investment. Gilly believes it’s going to become a requested fixture on the medium-sized stages Twisted Pair operates for a long time.

Here are some images from the iconic annual Earth Frequency Festival, where these units excelled on the Vertex Stage. Designer Paul Hill relied on them to produce high-intensity EDM looks as well as gobo projection on the bespoke stage structure.
