With over 200 years combined experience in our Installed Systems teams they have worked extensively in all types of venues – from the major Australian performing arts centres through to school auditoriums, from professional theatres to the largest of Convention and Exhibition centres.

Your Future Position
As part of the Installed Systems team, the role will work collaboratively with the Manager of our projects department, other project managers and installers within the team assisting with tasks on client premises/venues, construction sites and within our P.A. People sites.
The role will be working in a team environment, being responsible for ensuring proper and timely installation of systems across various projects. The role will see you often performing several tasks within a single project and handling all aspects of the installation process covering audio, AV, lighting, broadcast and control systems, theatrical drapes and track, stage machinery and equipment, working with product and system schematics. The role will also guide our entry and mid-level installation technicians.
To ensure successful execution of our various projects, we are looking to appoint a Senior Installation Technician who is passionate about AV and wanting to play an instrumental role in the delivery of what is expected to be a many unique and challenging projects.

About the role
In this role your key responsibilities will be (but not limited to):
- Reviewing and understanding installation documentation to gain an understanding of the works required.
- Installation of audio, AV, lighting, broadcast and control systems.
- As required installing theatrical drapes, track and lighting bars through to hoists, counterweight fly systems, portable staging and theatre machinery.
- Installation of cable including cable support and opening of cable pathways.
- Installation of equipment including mounting brackets and equipment structural supports.
- Testing functionality and performance following system installations.
- Developing safe work method statements for specific projects in consultation with the WHS department and site staff members.
- Hold Take 5/Toolbox Talks across various sites as required.
- On-site training of entry and mid-level installation technicians.
- Travelling to various sites and businesses undertaking installation works.

About You
You will have:
- Have a demonstrated interest and understanding in audio visual technology.
- At least 5+ years on site experience (including construction sites).
- Understand construction methodologies including cable installations and structural integrity of materials.
- The ability to install automated theatre equipment, including hoists, automated forestage platforms and acoustic dampeners.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build a rapport with others and an ability work collaboratively.
- Have a solid understanding with best practice work health and safety.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are solutions focused.
- Well developed skills to read and interpret plans, drawings, design documentation and specifications with an attention to detail when preparing material lists and reports.
- Good PC literacy, including proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- An ability to follow company processes in place and adapt to in-house systems.
