WAAPA is excited to offer an opportunity for a dynamic and adaptable individual to join our team as a Production Coordinator during a maternity leave cover period. This role will suit someone with a strong background in theatre production who is eager to contribute to a vibrant and creative environment. You will work closely with the Production Manager and Venue and Technical Services Manager as well as Academic staff and students.

We are seeking an experienced, proactive and motivated professional, with excellent and comprehensive administrative and practical skills to support the production process at WAAPA.

The Role
The Production Coordinator will assist the Production Manager in supporting the production process at WAAPA, providing high level administrative and practical support across a broad range of areas, including arranging and minuting production meetings, assisting with budget setting and tracking, venue hire contracts, venue and rehearsal timetabling, supporting the coordination of Visiting Artist contracts and creative packs as well as liaising with key internal and external stakeholders. 

The role utilises high level organisation and communication skills to facilitate and influence outcomes with relevant stakeholders including students, academic and technical staff and external organisations. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and coordinate productions for the Bachelor of Performing Arts (BPA) and Diploma courses, as well as manage special awards and events at our venues.
  • Collaborate effectively with the production and venue services teams to ensure seamless execution of all events and performances.
  • Oversee scheduling, organization, and resource management to support various production needs.

  • Proficiency with tools and manual tasks.

Remuneration:
This full-time, fixed term position attracts remuneration of $81,614 to $90,691 per annum plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
