My Gig: Nicholas Beachen lights Golden Features

For Golden Features, Nicholas Beachen‘s lighting and video were all triggered via Timecode. Lighting ran on MA Lighting grandma2 software and video ran off a PRG Mbox Mini v4 connected to grandMA2 for control.

All programming was done for this in 3D with changes to music and addition to new songs since the headline “Sect Tour” in 2018. There are some images on this being done in the studio at SWS Melbourne.

The show has continued to play at festivals around Australia since the headline tour. Festivals such as Yours & Owls, TGIG, Origin NYE, Seaworx Fire Charity.

In the new show, Nicholas added four Martin Atomic Dots to the performance riser for use as front light, commenting that they also have a nice powerful strobe as a second channel which is really nice for some rough moments.
